Romance, barefoot luxury and adventure. That’s what you’ll get at the beautiful Coco Beach Resort, which is 3.5 miles north of San Pedro on the island of Ambergris Caye.

The accommodations are spacious, offer stainless steel appliances, air conditioning and full balconies.

The rooms are so fabulous, you may not want to leave your suite. However, you would be missing out on 2 large swimming pools, a swim up bar and miles of beautiful beach.

Nothing quite beats catching some rays, relaxing under an poolside umbrella and swimming up to the pool bar to grab a fruity drink.

The resort can arrange a number of activities to satisfy any interest. Activities include:

  • Deep Sea Fishing: The lagoons and flats are known for their bonefish, permit, and barracuda. The coral reefs support grouper, snapper, jack, and barracuda while the deeper waters off the reef are home to sailfish, marlin, bonito, and pompano.
  • Mainland Tours: The mainland of Belize is just a boat ride or quick flight away, and offers endless opportunities for adventure. For those interested in Ancient Mayan Culture, Belize offers a number of Mayan Ruins to choose from. Xunantunich, Caracol, Cahal Pech, Altun Ha, and Lamanai are just a few.
  • Water Activities: Catamaran sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing, Hobie Cat sailing, and parasailing are a few of the water sports available.
  • Snorkeling & Diving: The second largest barrier reef in the world is located a half a mile from the shore of Ambergris Caye. With the average water visibility 100 ft. and the water temperature around 75-80 degrees, there isn’t a bad time of year to dive in Belize.

The first step is to get to Belize. Belize’s International Airport is named Philip Goldson International Airport (BZE). Airlines that service BZE include: American, Avianca, Delta, United, TACA, Southwest, COPA and Maya Island Air.

Guests arriving to Belize may transfer via regional flight to the island of Ambergris Caye. Another option, which is the way we got to the resort, is via water taxi. Take a regular taxi from the airport to the San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi station on North Front Street. Once there, you can purchase your tickets. Prices are $20 one way or $35 round trip from Belize City to Ambergris Caye. Just be aware, the first stop will be Caulker Caye. DO NOT GET OFF. San Pedro is the next stop.

Once you land in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, a representative of Sandy Point Resorts will meet you and will send you up to the resort on the next available transfer.

The Coco Beach Resort on Ambergris Caye is a great choice for your Belizean adventure.
